Church Planting in Ukraine using life toolbox
In the quiet little town of Ruska Polyana, Ukraine, Pastor Veniamin Kovalenko used to look out over the fields toward the neighboring villages and feel a heavy burden. He had this big, God-given dream to plant churches in those unreached villages around, but he was stuck on the "how." Like so many pastors, Veniamin had the heart for the work but just didn't feel equipped for the job. The distance to those villages felt huge—not because of the kilometers, but because he just didn't have the simple, practical tools he needed to bridge the gap.
Then everything changed when a pastor friend introduced him to the LiFe Toolbox. Veniamin attended a training and finally saw a way forward that didn't rely on complicated programs, but on presenting the Gospel through clear, honest conversations, answering the questions everyone asks. Realizing that the Gospel resonates best in one's heart language, Veniamin took the immediate initiative to translate the five core LiFe topics into Ukrainian. This wasn't just paperwork; he was getting his gear ready for the harvest! He has fine-tuned the topics into the perfect tool for his own neighbors, ready to use in living rooms all over the area.
Veniamin didn't wait around for a big crowd to show up. He just started with a small group, using those translated topics to present the Gospel and to guide conversation about faith, hope, and Jesus. Because it was so simple, the message really took root fast. People went from being unsure to curious, and that curiosity turned into real conviction. Just a few months after that first meeting, the church was down by the water celebrating their very first baptisms! That distant vision became a reality, proving that when a pastor has the right tools in hand, the Gospel can go anywhere.
